CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING VALUES OF ART
The valuation of artwork and antiques is based on a combination of facts--scientific methods, economic factors and highly subjective aesthetic opinions.
Whenever works by well known artists are being appraised, the appraiser generally traces the historical sales performance of the artist's work in the marketplace in order to derive general pricing. Always considered is the artist's objective data pertaining to the work, along with subjective factors pertaining to the work's quality and historical significance in the art world.
The official appraisal is an extensive documentation of your work of art. It includes a history and market valuation in order to determine a true value. This appraisal will be accepted by official agencies and is necessary for insurance or tax purposes.
Cost: Approximately $400 - $500 per piece. Discounts available for multiple works.
