Vidan is an extraordinary talented artist whose luminous paintings and sensual portraits reveal a spectrum of hues as well as a range of atmosphere and emotion. Vidan is the great Master Pino's nephew and spent years painting side by side with his famous uncle until Pino's death in 2010. And now Vidan's stunning paintings are quickly making him one of the world's premiere figurative painters. Pino would be very proud. Vidan was born in the picturesque city of Perugia, which is nestled between the elegant cities of Rome and Florence. In his youth, Vidan realizes immediately his passion for the arts. His vocation was established instantly and pursued with zeal thus attending some of the finest art schools in Italy to include the Liceo Artistico di Milano and later the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Brera.
After moving to the United States in 1988, Vidan began a career in the book cover industry, quickly establishing himself as a top romance artist. During his career, he worked for such renowned publishers as Doubleday, Harper- Collins, Harlequin, Zebra, Berkley, and Ballantine. At the same time, he created art for Vogue Italia, TV Guide, Snapshots, and MaryKnoll Greeting Cards. Throughout this time, Vidan also pursued his true love — fine art.
The Art Shop is honored to host Vidan at a major exhibition and sale of his work this coming May 4th, 2012.
